Let's Go Fishing

Mathew 4:19
18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 20At once they left their nets and followed him.

Jesus say's follow me and I will make you Fisher's of Men. All of us that are saved are now Fishermen & Fisherwomen. When is the last time you went fishing? Not long ago, I was going down the road in my truck and was praying and I said to the Lord, "Lord you said you have made me a fisherman, I want to go fishing today."
The Lord answered me and said "I will send you the fish, but you have to know what bait to use." While I was making a delivery at a Walmart Store, I was filling there oil tanks the manager was standing there, the Lord spoke to me and said here is your fish. I asked him Lord how Can I catch him? What bait should I use? The Lord said to me "Wait and you will see." As I was watching him he pulled a cigarette out of his top pocket. While he was lighting it, I noticed something on his forearm was a tattoo of a giant cross immediately God spoke to me and said there is your bait. I said to the man WOW you must really Love Jesus, dumb founded he said to me, Why do you say that? I said, you must Love Jesus to go through that much pain to put the cross on your arm. I told him I don't know if I could do that. He stamered and said, Yes I Love the Lord. The fish had taken the bait. Then in order to set the hook I then asked him where did he go to church? He put his head down and said he wasn't worthy to go to Church, that he would not fit in with the Church people. At that time I knew I had me a fish. A good Fish, and so I started to reel him in. I told him the Gospel Message, and how Jesus died for someone just like him. He said, He never had someone explain it so simple to him. He started to cry. It was now time to bring the fish in the boat. I asked him if he would like to receive Jesus Christ in his heart, he said yes. And I lead him in the sinners prayer.

Prices aren't the only thing falling at Walmart. People say it's too hard to witness. Witnessing is not hard. See you just have to Love to fish. God supplies the fish and the bait to make the catch.

So, I ask you when is the last time YOU went fishing? For that matter, it's time I go fishing again too.

I know this is a message that you need to catch, As I was writing this post the electric went out, and I just knew I had lost what work I already inputed. But because our God is so Good, when the power came back on and I signed back up it was saved as draft... Praise God!

Blessings to All ********* Remember Happy Fishing, don't let the big one get away!

What a beautiful experience of evangelism at its best! Thanks for the reminder that we all should seek opportunity to fish for souls as the Lord leads.

Hi Rev Brad..

Thank you for your visit and words of encouragement this morning. I love the new look on your blog..Fisherwoman is okay with me lol. I tried to go fishing with my Dad but did not like touching worms. But I love spiritual fishing, one thing I have discovered in evangelism is that it's how you approach someone. For me I ask the Lord for direction and say a lil prayer before I encounter someone. I can tell that he prepared the way for you, and that you are a man who is not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Just think of the seed that was planted when you prayed with that man. What a wonderful testimony.

What a great sermon from "fisher's of men". That's what Christ called them I believe.

Thanks for your comments about my great grandmother.

Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you but we have been out of town. Sharon can tell you what has been going on in our family.
Thanks again for your comments and prayers,
AliceE.

Hi Rev Brad..
Thanks for your prayers, the praise and worship was indeed a blessing and the people sang out their praises with a joyful heart indeed! I walked away with a deeper sense of how truly magnificent it is to sing with all your heart, mind, and soul, as if Jesus was the only one in the audience, because my total focus was just on the Lord, and so was my husband's as he played his piano with such an anointing upon his hands. The Prayer tent was my favorite hang out and if you look at the pics you can see where I wrote down the prayer request you asked for Bro Aaron.
